Jockey Hollow Visitors Center: Historical Structures and Artifacts
Experience an enchanting historical attraction, where freedom fighters struggled to survive amid the elements and threat of enemy attackers. A famous military camp founded in 1779, Jockey Hollow consisted of over one thousand simple huts, hand-built by American soldiers during the Revolutionary War. Today, the historical site maintains many of these structures, complete with handmade furniture, bunks and earthen floors.
