Jockey Hollow Visitors Center: Historical Structures and ArtifactsExperience an enchanting historical attraction, where freedom fighters struggled to survive amid the elements and threat of enemy attackers. A famous military camp founded in 1779, Jockey Hollow consisted of over one thousand simple huts, hand-built by American soldiers during the Revolutionary War. Today, the historical site maintains many of these structures, complete with handmade furniture, bunks and earthen floors. Tour this intriguing unit of Morristown National Historical Park and get an up-close look at the harsh conditions American soldiers endured, while fighting to make our country free.
